The entry-level turbocharged three-cylinder engine in an all-wheel drive Ford Escape SE model can get you to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. If you upgrade to the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower, you can reach 60 mph a bit faster at 5.7 seconds.
Fuel economy
Government estimates indicate that the 1.5 liter-turbocharged three-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive can give you fuel efficiency of 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on highways around Poplar Bluff. Other available upgrades include push-button start, remote start, proximity keyless entry and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety technology
The new Ford Escape comes with a standard rearview camera, standard blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights and a rear cross-traffic alert system. You can add an optional head-up display, rain-sensing windshield wipers and adaptive cruise control.
